About the founder

I have many interests, many tell me to be set on one objective, but I always have something "on my plate". I am passionate about what I do, within the realm of food, culture, and nutrition & health. Food is art in my perspective. I find that the discovery of different types of dishes and techniques are endless.

I graduated New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, with a B.S. in nutrition and dietetics. I am in the process of becoming a Registered Dietian Nutritionist (RDN) to be through my Dietetic Internship with Sodexo Health. I am aslo a certified mixologist, and aim to certify in many areas, because there is truly no limit to one's education in life about the spectacular world that we live in.

I started Think Outside The Plate as a food blog in 2017, hardly imagining where it would take me. I began by posting recipes onto my blog, marketing through Instagram, and assisted many chefs in the kitchen, in order to become more well-versed. I slowly gained the confidence to teach others in the kitchen, and fast-forward to now, I've come to wear many hats. I picked up skills in marketing & social media, recipe development, food photography, food styling, and mixology. Last but certainly not least, I decided to manufacture my very own custom Chef's Knife in 2021 and finished my DI in 2023!
